About

What is Cursor?

Cursor is an AI-first code editor from Anysphere, forked from VS Code. Tab autocomplete, chat sidebar, an agent mode that can edit across files in a single turn, and Cmd-K inline edit on a selection. OpenAI-compatible provider support is baked into the settings UI, so no extension is needed to point chat, agent, and Cmd-K at a custom backend. Tab autocomplete is the exception: it stays on Anysphere's own model.

How to use Cursor with Melious?

  1. Open model settings

In Cursor, open Settings → Models. Scroll to OpenAI API Key and toggle Override OpenAI Base URL.

  2. Paste base URL and key

Point the base URL at Melious and paste an API key. Click Verify. Cursor sends a probe through the same auth headers; a green check means you're talking to us. Then add a few models so the UI surfaces them.

    Shell
    # Base URL
    https://api.melious.ai/v1

    # API key
    sk-mel-<YOUR_API_KEY>
  3. Pick a model

Switch the active model to one of yours. glm-5.1 is a safe default for chat, agent mode, and Cmd-K. Tab autocomplete keeps using Cursor's built-in model.
