Overview

This Refund Policy explains our policies regarding refunds for subscriptions and credit purchases on the Melious AI Platform. All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, and refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

Important: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Initial Subscription Purchase

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your initial subscription purchase. If you are not satisfied with your subscription for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase date.

To request a refund, visit paddle.net or contact support@melious.de within 30 days of your purchase.

Credit Purchases

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on credit purchases:

You may request a refund of unused credits within 30 days of purchase
If you have used purchased credits, you may receive a partial refund for the unused portion
Minimum credit purchase amount: EUR 5.00

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed to your original payment method
Card refunds typically take 3–5 working days
PayPal refunds typically appear within 48 hours
All refund requests received after 60 days from the date of purchase cannot be processed

Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. There are no refunds on unused subscription periods after renewal.

To avoid being charged for the next billing period:

Cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before your renewal date
Use the cancellation feature in your account settings, or
Contact Paddle at paddle.net

Your cancellation will take effect at the next payment date, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

How to Request a Refund

All refunds are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

Request a refund
Cancel a subscription
Get help with your order

Option 2: Email

Contact support@melious.de with:

Your account email
Order number or transaction ID

We will process your request through Paddle.

Plan Changes

Upgrades

Take effect immediately with pro-rated billing
You are charged only for the additional cost

Downgrades

Take effect at the end of your current billing period
Unused resources do not carry over

Failed Payments

If your payment fails:

We will attempt to process the payment again
You will be notified via email to update your payment information
If payment is not received within 7 days, your account may be downgraded to a free plan or suspended

Termination by Melious

Terms Violations

If your account is terminated due to your breach of our Terms of Service, you are not entitled to a refund of any fees paid.

Service Discontinuation

If we discontinue the Services:

We will provide at least 90 days' notice
You will be entitled to a pro-rated refund for any unused subscription period

Consumer Rights (EU/EEA)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have statutory rights under consumer protection law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal.

14-Day Withdrawal Right

You have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase without providing any reason. To exercise this right, inform Paddle by a clear statement before the 14-day period expires.

Loss of Withdrawal Right

You may lose your right of withdrawal if:

You expressly consented to immediate provision of the service
You acknowledged that you would lose your withdrawal right upon full performance
You consumed the service in full within the withdrawal period

If you requested immediate access to the service and used it before exercising withdrawal, you may be charged a proportionate amount for services received.

Depending on your country of residence, you may have additional consumer rights. For details, please see our Terms of Service Appendix B.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage informal resolution:

We will attempt to resolve disputes within 60 days
Mediation with a qualified mediator is available

Payment Processing

Payment Processor: All payments and refunds are handled by Paddle.com (Merchant of Record)
Invoices: Available in your account settings and sent via email upon request
Billing Records: Retained for 7 years as required by law
Currency: All prices and refunds in EUR
